Saturday 11th of May was the opening of Htein Lin's latest solo exhibition "Skirting the Issue". After the Yangon show, it travelled to Japan for an opening in Tokyo in June.
Htein Lin got very personal with the participants in his art project, asking them "Do you wash your longyi together with male longyis?"
Guests enjoyed the powerful story-portraits that came out of his research while digging depper into this most intriguing subject. Some of the women featured in the paintings were with us at the opening.
The show runned through Sunday May 19th.
